Jesse Waters: A nightmare from which no one can wake up. That’s what people in Los Angeles are saying. At least 11 people are dead and many more are missing. A swath of land the size of San Francisco was destroyed.
Some of the most beautiful lands in the world. Parts of Pacific Palisades look like Hiroshima after the atomic bomb. Entire communities were destroyed. In Altadena, only about a dozen houses remain in a community of 5,000 people.
Three major fires still out of control. Crews are preparing for another weekend of strong Santa Ana winds. On the streets, it’s becoming the Wild West. Looters on motorcycles ransacked houses.
Thieves, some disguised as fire officials and utility workers, charged through the rubble and ashes with flat screens. The looting was so out of control that some residents were afraid to leave their burned-out homes. Governor Newsom said looting will not be tolerated. These communities suffer Enough. Well, unless the amount they robbed was less than $950, Gavin wouldn’t mind.
One of the Winklevoss twins shouted at Newsom, “You and your party have tolerated looting for years. You have normalized this behavior and lawlessness.”
