Juric offers ‘no guarantees’ Southampton won’t sell Manchester United target in January

Southampton boss Ivan Juric has offered “no guarantees” that teenage star Tyler Dibling will not be sold in the January window.

Dibbling has been a shining light in an extremely difficult season for Saints, who sit bottom of the Premier League with just six points to their name.

The 18-year-old winger has been linked with RB Leipzig, Tottenham and Manchester United, with Southampton placing a £55 million price tag on his shoulders.

With relegation a near certainty, the club faces the dilemma of whether to cash in now or see its value drop in the summer.

Juric said: “There are no guarantees in football, we know that.

“But I’m sure I’ll be coaching Dibbling all year. He is very motivated, as we see in the game. I found him really concentrated, focused. No problem.”

Dibble to miss Magpies clash through injury

Dibble will miss Saturday’s home game with Newcastle after sustaining a foot problem in last week’s defeat at Manchester United.

The initial prognosis is that the player will miss up to six weeks but Juric hopes he will be back before then.

He added: “At the moment, we are a bit more optimistic. We’ll see next week how we get on. Everyone is more optimistic and we will see. We can say more next week.

Kamaldeen Sulemana will also sit out the weekend game.

Juric said: “I think he’s had a really good game since I’ve arrived but he won’t play against Newcastle because he’s got a bit of an injury.

“Like Tyler Dibling, I think he’ll be here. I think we’ll find a way to play with these two guys, they’ve done really well and now we’re missing them because of their injuries. He’ll be a good option for us in the future. .”
