The Mumbai Indians have made a huge boost ahead of the 2025 Indian Premier League (IPL) against Royal Challenger Bangalore. Fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah joined the team after missing the first four games due to a back injury.

Jasprit Bumrah joined the Mumbai Indian Camp along with Royal Challenger Bangalore (RCB) on the eve of the match. The match between the two teams will be held on Monday (April 7) at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai.

Jasprit Bumrah was declared suitable for the league’s Royal Challenger Bengaluru, which would be a huge boost for the Mumbai Indians as they were in the lower half of the tabletop. So far, the team led by Hardik Pandya has lost three of four league games.

Jasprit Bumrah didn’t waste much time after joining the team as he was seen joining the team before practicing before he practiced the game. The fast bowler was welcomed by mentor Kieron Pollard.

The match against Royal Challenger Bengaluru will mark the return of Bongra in three months to cricket. He was injured in the final match of the Border Gawasca Trophy 2024-25 at Sydney Cricket Stadium in Sydney.

Afterwards, he was advised to rest and miss the 2025 trophy for the ICC champion. It has been reported that by the start of the IPL, Bumrah will fit. But he spent a little more time than expected to recover.
