Larry Kudlow: Are we handcuffing Israel in its fight to destroy terrorism?

We are handcuffed Israel in their fight to destroy terrorism and save freedom in the Middle East and America? This is the theme of the riff.

Every time the hostages are freed it is a wonderful and joyful development.

Israeli and American families have suffered as much as their children, spouses and soldiers have been held captive in the hell of Hamas for the past 15 months. So let’s start here and appreciate it.

Let’s hope the release of 33 hostages actually happens. Tragically, that number was around 250, 15 months ago. Several American hostages are expected to be released during Phase I.

Three are presumed to be still alive and four are reported dead. The evil and barbaric terrorists of Hamas have already killed others – it is a hate crime against humanity.

This leads to the second point, which is a question: How good is this? I don’t know all the details. No one may know all the details, but this is basically the same deal that Joe Biden wanted last May.

AMERICAN PRODUCER PRICES RISE MODERATELY IN DECEMBER

President-elect Trump certainly brought Hamas to the negotiating table by hammering home the promise that “all hell would break loose” if Hamas did not release the hostages.

Even Joe Biden’s State Department said Mr. Trump was “absolutely critical”, but like the old with. David Friedman and others have pointed out that the war in the Middle East is not over.

Israeli troops will reportedly be allowed to remain in the so-called Philadelphia Corridor that separates Egypt and Gaza for at least another six weeks, but are then expected to leave and the so-called Phase II of the deal forces a deal . complete Israeli withdrawal from Gaza and some sort of “permanent” ceasefire.

Meanwhile, at least 1,000 Palestinians, including 200 who murdered Israelis, will be released from Israeli prisons. Well, won’t they go straight to Gaza and resume their violent Jihad against Israel and America?

Amidst all this, numerous reports suggest that Hamas is regrouping, recruiting and revitalizing itself. The leader of Hamas, Yahya Sinwar, was killed by Israeli forces, but his brother Mohammed Sinwar became the new leader as well.

So yes, and this is very important, the hostages are released in two phases, and Israeli troops are mandated to leave Gaza, and 1,000 Palestinian prisoners will be released from Israeli prisons, and Hamas is rebuilding… How can this really be a good deal?

President Trump is hailing the deal as an “epic cease-fire agreement” and he and his special envoy Steve Witkoff should certainly be given the benefit of the doubt and should certainly be given credit for ‘liberation of the hostages.

Perhaps there are many behind-the-scenes details we don’t know about. Perhaps Saudi Arabia has been convinced President Trump to join the covenants of Abraham. Perhaps Mr Trump will give Israel the green light to bomb Iran’s nuclear facility.

Perhaps the IDF still intends to destroy Hamas completely, as Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth stated yesterday, who supports the death of all Hamas members.

Incoming National Security Adviser Mike Waltz reiterated this this morning. Incoming Secretary of State Marco Rubio stated today that if Hamas is there, there will never be a ceasefire. Maybe, maybe, but knowing what we are think we know, Hamas will remain in power in Gaza and Israel’s military presence in Gaza will end. it’s not good

I always thought we would unleash the IDF on everyone Middle East terrorists, and that we would all be grateful to Israel for not only saving freedom in both Israel and the Middle East, but frankly saving all Western freedom and our Judeo-Christian culture and therefore saving America as well return the handcuffs. it will prevent the IDF from destroying terrorism and this higher mission of saving freedom in Israel, the Middle East, and America.

That’s what worries me.
