Natasha Jonas and Lauren Price go head-to-head while recording new release The gloves came off before they clinched the world title on March 7.
Jonas and Price will fight for the WBC, IBF and WBA welterweight titles live from the Royal Albert Hall sky sports.
Price, the Olympic gold medalist and WBA belt holder, told Jonas straight up that she wanted to win every round.
The Welsh star has yet to lose a round in her career and aims to continue that form in her next fight.
“I believe that,” Price told sky sports Then.
She added: “I believe this is my toughest test. This is just another stepping stone. I do believe I’m too good and I’m too fast.”
But Jonas dismissed the suggestion.
“It doesn’t matter until we get in the ring,” Jonas said. “She keeps saying these things. But you put pressure on yourself to back up those words.
“You’re not going to lose a round? Okay, so what happens when the first round starts and you lose it? So what do you do because you said you’re not going to lose a round? What happens? ? What about the second, third, fourth, fifth, and sixth rounds?
“I want you to win every round for the opponents she faces.”
Jonas insists that Price’s statement actually betrays a lack of self-confidence.
“I do. I think she had to tell herself that to make herself believe it. Like: ‘Okay, I get it,'” the Liverpudlian said. “You’re trying to convince yourself.
“I just think you push yourself. You tell yourself, ‘I can do this.'” I believe that’s what she did.
“I don’t buy it.”
