LG The AI bandwagon is starting today with a new set of AI services to help consumers with their daily tasks at home, in the car and in the office.
The goal of LG CES 2025 The press event is to show how AI works in a day in a person’s life, with the aim of changing the concept of space, said William Joowan Cho, CEO of LG Electronics at the event. The presentation showed that LG is completely focused on bringing AI to almost all of its products and services.
Cho refers to LG’s AI efforts as “sympathetic intelligence,” and says it differs from other human-centric strategies.
The strategy focuses on three things: connected devices, capable AI agents and integrated services. One of the things the company announced was a strategic partnership with Microsoft on AI innovation, where the companies promised to join forces to shape the future of spaces powered by AI.
One of the results is that Microsoft’s Xbox Ultimate Game Pass is available through the Xbox Cloud on LG TVs, helping LG catch up with Samsung in offering cloud gaming natively on its TVs.
LG recently acquired Athom, a startup focused on integrated services and LG will use it to integrate hundreds of millions of devices and 170 brands to facilitate the creation of AI services and work along with other platforms.
LG said it has taken a comprehensive approach to developing AI-capable agents integrated with partners’ services to offer AI in a more scalable and faster way.

Ultimately, LG wants to take work out of home life. It wants to create a seamless zero labor home through LG’s home-focused OS and core LG appliance technologies, all integrated through AI in a way that fits our lifestyles.
“It’s a deeply personalized experience of dynamic services that transforms the customer’s environment,” said LG.
It has different hubs in our lives for AI, such as self-driving hubs that will evolve responses based on circumstances. In a demo, the AI spoke by voice to the driver of a car, saying that there was an accident ahead and suggesting an alternative route. On top of that, the AI says you can’t make your meeting on time and asks if the driver wants to start the call from the car.
The car can detect changes in vital signs for the driver, such as an increase in heart rate, and it can suggest calming the driver’s nerves by playing a list of focus and relaxation.
LG promises to help consumers with complex relationships with content, find free content whenever possible and deal with multiple subscriptions at home.
Priscilla Higa of LG vehicle solutions sales said at the press event that LG AI wants the movement of the car to be a personalized experience in the car space. That’s why the solutions you get in the car are tailored to today.
“The mobility experience is enhanced by AI, like a conscious mobility assistant,” Higa said.
LG introduced many of its new products, such as new TVs, for CES 2025 in the month of December.
