Los Angeles Fire: Los Angeles Lakers NBA coach JJ Redick loses home in devastating wildfire NBA News

Los Angeles Lakers head coach JJ Redick confirmed that his family lost their home in the devastating wildfires earlier this week.

Wildfires are still burning in American cities, with at least 11 people killed in the blazes and 153,000 people under evacuation orders.

Redick said the rental home burned down while the Lakers were on the road in Dallas on Tuesday. Redick’s wife, Chelsea, and their two sons were safely away from the community, but Redick drove to the area Wednesday to see firsthand the shocking impact of the fire.

“I’m not sure I’ve cried or cried like this in years,” Redick said.

“I was not prepared for what I saw.

“It was complete destruction and devastation. I had to take another route to get to the house but I walked through most of the village and everything was gone. I don’t think you can ever prepare for something like this. Ours Home is gone.”

Redick, who joined the Lakers last June, was renting a house in the Pacific Palisades area when he decided where to make his permanent home in Los Angeles.

“Everything we had that was important to us in our nearly 20 years as a couple and 10 years of raising our children was in that house,” Reddick said.

“Some things you can’t replace and will never be replaced. Material things are anything. My family and I are dealing with the ego side of losing our home, the personal side, and you never want to wish that on anyone, losing their home It feels so bad.”

Redick is back at work with the Lakers, and Saturday’s game against the San Antonio Spurs has been postponed. Their previous game against Charlotte was also canceled due to the fire.

The NFL has moved the Los Angeles Rams wild-card playoff game to Travel to Arizona on Monday to take on the Minnesota Vikings.
