MAGA Blames DEI for California Wildfires

While the forest fires are raging The entire Los Angeles area was out of control on Wednesdayconsumed more than 28,000 hectares of land, destroyed thousands of homes and buildings including entire neighborhoods, and caused the death of at least five people, President-elect Donald Trump, his MAGA colleagues, right-wing commentators, conservative news outlets, and far-right conspiracists all place the blame not on climate change or the eight-month no rain, but in wokeism.

Trump—who supports greatly expanding the extraction and use of fossil fuels, which scientific consensus directly connecting the growing number of extreme weather events—using the unfolding tragedy to attack his longtime nemesis, California governor Gavin Newsom. He claimed that the Democrat’s embrace of environmental issues was to blame for the Los Angeles Fire Department’s (LAFD) inability to contain what was already the worst wildfire in California history.

“Governor Gavin Newscum refused to sign the water restoration declaration placed before him that would have allowed millions of gallons of water, from excess rain and snowmelt from the North, to flow daily into many parts of the California, including the areas currently burning. in an almost apocalyptic way,” Trump wrote on Truth Social. “He wants to protect a worthless fish called smelt, by giving it a little water (it doesn’t work!), but ignores the people of California.”

The governor’s press office issued a statement Wednesday criticized Trump’s comment and pointed out that “there is no such document as a water restoration declaration – that is pure fiction.”

The democrats’ embrace of so-called wake policies has become an all-purpose bogeyman for the right in recent years. Like previous generations they blame political correctness and affirmative action for various problems, after major events such as assassination attempt against Trump in July and the Baltimore Bridge collapsed in March, they often blamed wokeism and diversity, equality, and inclusion (DEI).

“Can we rename the DEI to DIE because that’s what happens to the people below those who put virtue awake signaling superiority?!?,” Donald Trump Jr wrote on Truth Social on Wednesday.

Trump confidante and centibillionaire X owner Elon Musk, never had one to avoid a conspiracy theoryalso used his platform to promote disinformation about who was to blame for the wildfires.

“DEI means people DIE,” Musk wrote in one post, while several other posts featured criticism from LAFD chief Kristin Crowley, a 22-year veteran of the department who Praise for saving nine houses from total destruction during the Woolsey Fire in 2018 with his wife.

Crowley is the first woman and first member of the LGBTQ community to hold the position of fire chief in LA.

Musk shared a post from Chaya Raichik, the woman behind the hate-filled, anti-LGBTQ account LibsOfTikTok: “Meet Los Angeles Fire Chief Kristin Crowley. She boasts that she is the first female and LGBTQ fire chief of the LA Fire Department. Promoting DEI’s culture is his priority. Does it make you feel safer?” The post has been viewed more than five million times.
