Last night was Saturday, January 18, the United States government kept its promise to ban TikTok. The ban comes from a recently revised amendment from the Ukraine aid bill that gained bipartisan support, and seems more likely than the owner of TikTok, the Chinese tech giant. ByteDancerefused to sell it to a US company. Users were very surprised to see the ban implemented, in part because it affected more than just one popular social platform.
US players of the popular mobile game Marvel Snap hit a popup message last night (or this morning, if they checked) stating that the card trading game is banned in the country. “A law banning (our game) has been implemented in the US,” the popup read. “Unfortunately, that means you can’t use it Marvel Snap at the moment. Rest assured, we are working to restore our service in the US Please stay tuned!” Like TikTok, it appears to affect players who don’t live in the US, but ACT have a country-based account, and the game app is no longer available in the iOS or Android stores.
Marvel Snap published by Nuverse, which is a subsidiary of ByteDance. This, along with other apps (CapCut and Lemon8) and games (One Punch Man: The Strongest, Mission EVO) owned by the company, the same is banned in the country for the foreseeable future. At the time of writing, Marvel has not commented on the outage, but the developer has Second Supper It was called “a surprise to us and was not planned.” The studio says the game is “not going anywhere,” and that it is “actively working to get the game up to speed as soon as possible and will update you once we have more to share.”
Unfortunately, MARVEL SNAP is temporarily unavailable in the US app stores and is not available to play in the US
This outage was a surprise to us and was not planned. MARVEL SNAP isn’t going anywhere.
We are actively working on developing the game as soon as possible and…

Currently, Marvel Snap and TikTok players can only wait for incoming president Donald Trump to reverse the ban on ByteDance products that he first caller by executive order back in 2020. Until then, it’s always there Marvel Rivals or watching Snap streams.
