Many of the chats before the Masters focused on Rory McIlroy’s latest attempt at winning the Augusta National and completing his professional grand slam.

Also focused on defending the champion and world No. 1 Scottie Scheffler, who will win the third-biggest master’s title in four years.

Cabrera returns for the first time since her sentence

Starting with the first of his two Augusta titles, the great Bernhard Langer will play in the 41st and final game, a year he should have done so.

The 67-year-old German missed the 2024 edition due to a torn Achilles tendon, but is back now trying to succumb from the prestigious match.

Langer, who also won a green coat in 1993, is still troubled by injuries and admits that walking a lengthy route will be a problem as he tries to break the record of Fred Couples as the oldest player to lay off in the Masters.

“I want to do a great job and I have to do a great job of layoffs because this course is so long for me and only great things will do,” he said.

A lot of Garcia’s Liv Pals would think they had shots on Masters Glory, including Phil Mickelson – the 2004, 2006 and 2010 Augusta champions, and his 2021 50-year-old PGA champion, is the oldest historical champion in history.

Don’t be completely discounted, as Mickelson knows the place very well, stunning in the final seven finals, tied for second in 2023 and found the table in the recent Liv Tour, two top six results in his last four games.
