
The British ruling Labor Party announced on Saturday that she suspended Dan Norris, one of his MPs in Parliament after police arrested him.
Mr. Morris “Labor Party immediately suspended after being informed of his arrest,” the party said in a statement, adding that “he could not comment further while a police investigation is ongoing.”
The party did not specify why Mr. Norris, 65, was arrested and did not immediately respond to the request for comment on Saturday.

“In December 2024, we received a recommendation from another police force relating to alleged sexual offenses that were not accepted by a child committed against the girl,” the police statement said.
“It is stated that most of the criminal offenses happened in the 2000s, but we also investigate the alleged act of rape from the 2020s,” he added. Police said the investigation was “in progress and in an early stage.”
The move of the Labor Party is expected to mean that Mr. Norris, until the investigation, will be an investigation, be effectively suspended from representing the party at the Municipality House.
Last year, Mr. Norris won a place in a parliament that represented northeastern Somerset and Hanham, near the city of Bristol, beating former Conservative Cabinet Minister Jacob Rees-Mogg.
Mr. Norris is also the mayor of the England west, the position he has held since 2021, although he does not run for a re -choice when the place is challenged on May 1.
His political career goes back to more than two decades. Mr. Norris was an MP from 1997 to 2010, which represented the headquarters of Wansyke, in the West of England.
