Former India opener Virender Sehwag praised Gujarat Giant (GT) Pacer Mohammed Siraj’s performance against Royal Challenger Bangalore (RCB) in IPL 2025. The cricketer is said that the cricketer is excluded from the ICC Champions Trophions 2025 Squad and he may ignite his blazing spell.
Mohammed Siraj played the match title against his former team after seven seasons with Royal Challenger Bengaluru. Pacers removed the RCB’s batting lineup with a 3/19 number in four bases. His bowling ball won the tone of eight goals at GT M. Chinnaswamy Stadium on April 2.

During Cricbuzz’s post-match performance, Virender Sehwag pointed out that Mohammed Siraj is expected to have a positive mindset. Sehwag expressed hope that Siraj would maintain his strength in order to make a comeback.
“He had that fire. Somewhere, I don’t think he was on the championship trophy lineup and I saw that fire. That’s what we expect from young fast bowlers.’Yes, did you not choose me? Now I’ll tell you.” I hope he continues to maintain the same intensity and makes a comeback in India.

Virender Sehwag said Siraj could swing new balls. Sehwag added that if Siraj had hit the fourth time in the same spell, he might have adopted another wicket.
Sehwag added: “He has maintained his record in Chinnaswamy’s new ball. He has only put in 12 or 13 times in the first three games. He may have played the fourth time at the same time; he may have already taken another wicket. He swung the new ball and yesterday he also got help from the wicket.”
Bengaluru released 169/8, with late cameos from Liam Livingstone (54) and Tim David. In response, Gujarat Titans lost Shubman Gill early, but Sai Sudharsan (49-year-old 36) and Jos Buttler (73* off 39) stabilized the situation with their crucial 75-stroke stance. The Titans won with 13 goals.
Mohammed Siraj demonstrates his worth after RCB decides not to retain him
The 31-year-old reminded the Royal Challenger Bengaluru not to retain what he was missing afterwards. He fired Devdutt Padikkal and Phil Salt in the opening ceremony, and in Power Games, RCB struggled on 42/4.
Siraj, who was named “Player of the Match” for his 3/19 spell, admitted to being nervous in Bengaluru with his former team. After being excluded from the 2025 Indian Championship trophy lineup, the Pacers scored five wickets in three games, with an average of 21.40.
GT won back-to-back victory after their season opening loss for the Punjab Kings. The 2022 champion will face Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad on Sunday, April 6.
The Gujarat Titans are currently ranked fourth on the table, with four points in three games. Meanwhile, Royal Challenger Bengaluru is in third place with the same score but a higher net run rate.
