Munguia, 28, was knocked down by a cobra-like right hand from Surance in the sixth round due to carelessness. The shot sent Munguia face down to the canvas.
Jaime got back to his feet and referee Juan Jose Ramirez stopped him rather than allow him to be knocked down a second time by the Frenchman.

It’s questionable whether Munguia would be a good idea in a rematch with Surace, as the guy might have his number. Earlier in the fight, Jaime knocked him to the head with a left hook.
Soon after, however, Surace struck Munguia in the head with a cobra-like right hand, knocking him out. Munguia took it well, but the shot was identical to the one he knocked down with a right hand late in the sixth.
