“In the spirit of this great country, we must not politicize human tragedy or spread disinformation on the sidelines. Thousands of Americans are displaced and fearful for the future, and they deserve to see all of us doing their best to interests to achieve their goals “to ensure rapid recovery and reconstruction,” Newsom wrote.
“With respect and with open hands.”
Fox News Digital reached out to Newsom’s office for comment on Saturday but did not respond. The Trump campaign did not respond to a request for comment.

Trump has been harshly rebuking Newsom, even claiming he should resign as governor.
“One of the best and most beautiful places in the United States of America is burning to ashes and Gavin Newscomb should resign. It’s all his fault!!!” the president-elect declared in a Truth Society post this week.
