Nicaragua changes the Constitution, gifting the “absolute power” to the president and his wife




The Nicaraguan government strengthened the posture of President Daniel Orteg in power on Thursday when she changed the Constitution to give Ortega and his wife Rosario Murillo “absolute power.” The amendment, which suggested Ortega, included Murillo as “co -president”, and conveys a couple by the legislative, judiciary and surveillance control of the country.
