LeTsile Tebogo clarified his “pride” comment last summer, which was an introduction to Noah Lyles after beating US Gold in the 200M game at the Paris Olympics.
Tebogo lasted 19.46 seconds in the Paris 200M final, consolidating himself as the fifth fastest man in history.
Three-time 200m world champion Lyles is a gold favorite and seems ready to do 100m and 200m sprint doubles, he just tries to be the second person to achieve his millennium feat – the other one is the 2008, 2012 and 2016 Usain Bolt. However, in 2008 and 2016.

In a post-match press conference, Botswana’s only Olympic champion said he couldn’t be a track and field because he wasn’t “a arrogant or loud person like Noah”, which caught people’s attention. But Tebogo now insists there is no hatred between him and Lyles.

“When you get into the track, it’s all about the business,” Tebogo said. “(But) when we’re over, you can be friends and life goes on.
“But ‘arrogance’…he’s happy to sell our sport. With me, I always shy away from doing that because that’s me.”
Lyles’ goal is to re-establish his dominance at the World Championships in Tokyo this year, so he was asked about Tebogo’s back having a goal.
“Everyone is in the roster, it’s an opponent,” he said.
“You can’t eliminate someone because he’s not doing well at the 2024 Olympics or the 2023 World Championships. It’s a new year, a new starting point, a new goal.
“It’s competition on the track, and then on the track, we’re humans at the end of the day.”
