Nuno Espirito Santo was today named Premier League Manager of the Month for December and was rewarded for Nottingham Forest’s brilliant recent run.
Forest enjoyed five wins in the month and are now third, just six points behind Liverpool, with a 3-0 win over Wolves on Monday.
The East Midlands club were expected to be locked in a relegation battle this season but are now challenging for at least a top four spot and a crack at the Champions League.
After opening December with a defeat at Manchester City, Forest beat Manchester United, Aston Villa, Brentford, Tottenham and Everton.
They face Luton in the FA Cup tomorrow.
