Pixel 9 Pro Fold Against Galaxy Z Fold 6 Camera Showdown: It’s Complex

If you are thinking to buy a foldable phone like Google Pixel 9 Pro Fold or Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6It is likely for their giant, tablet-size bendable screen than their cameras. But any phone is worth around $ 2,000 should also make stellar pictures.

Arrival at Pixel 9 Pro Fold and Galaxy Z Fold 6Each device exceeds different places. Google, in my experience, it’s better to take the scenes with a lot of detail like scenery and generally balanced light and color more accurately. The zoom-in extracts taken with Google’s phone also looks sharper and less Saba than Samsung. But Galaxy Z Fold 6 usually preserves more details of pictures of people and pictures taken in low light environments.

The two phones have the same camera details on paper, but megapixels don’t tell the whole story. The sensor size and the picture processing pipeline functioning the phone has a large role in how pictures are.

Google Pixel 9 Pro Fold Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6
Cams 48-megapixel (width), 10.5-megapixel (ultrawide), 10.8-megapixel (5x telephoto) 50-megapixel (width), 12-megapixel (Ultrawide), 10-megapixel (3x Telephoto)
Selfie cameras 10-megapixel (Inner Screen), 10-megapixel (cover screen) 4-megapixel (Inner Screen Under-Display), 10-megapixel (cover screen)

To try each phone, I get the same image from two phones at the same location at about the same time. Pictures below have not been edited and taken with the main width camera on each device unless specified. The picture can be a sophisticated; The opinions are what makes a good picture can vary depending on your taste and want. My goal, however, is to show differences between two phones.

Main camera

I prefer the pixel image in this scenario because the center of the picture seems overexposed to the Samsung image. Pixel 9 Pro Fold’s feels more real in life.

I prefer this picture than Samsung because color and light seem to be more accurate.

Here’s another example where Pixel 9 Pro Fold is better than Samsung’s phone. Pink flower looks better with this image.

Ultrawide

Pixel 9 Pro Fold took the best picture of this scenario. So much sunshine from Samsung’s day, who washed the left side of the image and hides the beautiful house of Victoria.

This picture has a smaller clever than Samsung.

Low light

Samsung admires me this picture of a reserved flower bouquet, taken in a dark room. Galaxy Z fold 6 photo is sharper and more clear than Google, even if the pixel image is brighter.

Google Pixel 9 Pro Fold

This picture is brighter than Samsung, but it’s not as sharp.

Low light

No more than the Google picture is less open, but you can clearly see Oscar’s feather details in Samsung image.

This picture of my cat oscar is definitely brighter than Samsung, but not as detailed.

Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6

This picture of my cat Oscar is a bit dark, but it has a lot of detail.

Zooming at 10x

If about zoomed pictures, Google is the obvious winner. See how much clearer this picture of a Cape sign has a winery in New Jersey as compared to Samsung. The two pictures taken in a 10x zoom, but Google doesn’t look like you’re looking for.

Google Pixel 9 Pro Fold

This picture is more obvious than the one who gets on Samsung’s phone.

Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6

This picture is more blurrier than taken with Google phone.

Zooming at 20x

The case is the same as this picture taken in a 20x zoom. There are many more definitions of Church bricks, and the scene is more clearly in the overall picture of Google.

Mixed lights outside

I was surprised how different this picture is going out of each phone. Although I usually think google makes a better job in the scene and still shots of life, this is an exception. Samsung’s photo is hotter and has more detail, which is more noticable to the sand grains. Google picture, in comparison, almost seems to have a blue filter on it.

Google Pixel 9 Pro Fold

It’s a beautiful scene no matter what, but I’d rather be the warmer tone of the Samsung image.

Mixed lamps in the room

Google has won it. The old cocktail of this picture (left) is more detailed and shooter than Samsung. Seems like Galaxy Z Fold 6 may be focused on the flower in the background.

Pixel 9 pro fold is more bright, and cocktail seems to be sharp.

PICTURE

It’s hard to call, but I prefer Samsung’s picture. It has a little golden tint of it, but that makes it feel more vulnerable and alive. The surface of the subject also looks more detailed in the Samsung photo in my opinion. (Although Google’s image has little clever, as a steady theme of outdoor shots).

Although Samsung photo has more ray, I think it’s the best image.

Selfie (Camera cover)

Here is another challenging to call. I think the picture google is more flattery because my skin looks like smooth. But my face is slender in the Google picture vs. Samsung, with more sharp and detail.

Two-sided picture of a woman with pink hair and sunglasses

Google’s selfie is more flattery, but I think Samsung is more accurate.

Selfie (Inner Camera)

Two selfies of a woman with red hair with each other

Google photo looks more natural than Samsung.

Lisa Eadicicco / CNET

Pixel 9 Pro Fold and Galaxy Z Fold 6 have a very different method of snaping selfies with their inner cameras. Google is more bright and looks more natural and soft, which I want, while Samsung is over-processed – likely to recover the lower resolution 4-megapixel sensor. Google foldable has 10-megapixel inner camera compared.

Overall, Google Pixel 9 Pro Fold and Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6 both well done in different situations. Google’s foldable is the hands-down winner when it comes to zoom-in shots, and it usually gets more pictures of scenes and outdoor items . But I prefer pictures of Samsung people, and low-light pictures of Z Fold 6 also have a lot of detail. What camera is best depends on what is most important to you as a photographer.
