Man City will be looking to prove their recent resurgence is not a flash in the pan as they host an Ipswich side looking to climb out of the relegation zone.

After a disastrous run of just one win in 13 games at the end of 2024, City seem to have turned a corner after starting the new year with three straight wins. That streak came to a halt in midweek, however, as Pep Guardiola’s side let a two-goal lead slip away against Brentford to draw 2-2, raising further doubts as to whether the Citizens will earn a place in the Champions League qualification this term.

Next up for City is an Ipswich side who saw their hopes of escaping relegation dashed after falling to a 0-2 defeat at home to Brighton on Thursday. Despite that result, Kieran McKenna’s Tractor Boys remain just one below 17th-placed Wolves, and in-form forwards Omari Hutchinson and Liam Delap can fancy their chances against a unconvinced City defence.

Ipswich Town take on Manchester City on Sunday, January 18, at Portman Road, with kickoff set for 4:30 pm GMT local time. That makes it a 11:30 am ET or 8:30 am PT start in the US and Canada, and a 3.30am AEDT kickoff in Australia in the early hours of Monday morning.

Below, we discuss the best live TV streaming services which will be used to watch the game as it happens, wherever you are in the world.

Quick tips for streaming the Premier League with a VPN

  • With four variables at play — your ISP, browser, video streaming provider and VPN — your experience and success when streaming EPL matches can vary.
  • If you don’t see your desired location as a default option for ExpressVPN, try using the “search for city or country” option.
  • If you’re having trouble getting the game after you’ve turned on your VPN and set it to the correct viewing area, there are two things you can try for a quick fix. First, log into your streaming service subscription account and make sure the address registered for the account is an address in the correct viewing area. Otherwise, you will need to change the physical address of the file using your account. Second, some smart TVs — like Roku — don’t have VPN apps that you can install directly on the device itself. Instead, you need to install the VPN on your router or the mobile hotspot you use (such as your phone) so that any device on its Wi-Fi network can now see the correct viewing location.
  • All of the VPN providers we recommend have helpful instructions on their main site for easily installing a VPN on your router. In some cases of smart TV services, after you install the sports app on the cable network, you will be asked to verify a numeric code or click on a link sent to your email address in file for your smart TV. This is where having a VPN on your router helps too, as both devices appear to be in the right location.
  • And remember, browsers can always provide a location even when using a VPN, so make sure you’re using a privacy-first browser to log into your services. We generally recommend Brave.
