Relations with Trump are ‘transactional’, France says, as Trump threatens EU tariffs




France’s relations with US President Donald Trump are “transactional”, a French government spokesman said on Wednesday, adding that neither side wanted to enter a trade war. Trump had threatened to impose tariffs on EU imports a day earlier, complaining that European nations were treating us “very, very badly”.
