‘Repositioning’: The Israeli government is changing its attitude towards the Palestinian Authority




The Israeli government appears to be “repositioning itself” following the resignation of far-right members, namely Israeli National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir, Noga Tarnopolsky told FRANCE 24. Quoting Israeli Foreign Minister Gideon Sa’ar who said he considered the Palestinian Authority equal a terrorist group like Hamas, Tarnopolsky said that “it is actually a position that has tripped up the Israeli government very badly, refusing to accept the internationally recognized authority of the Palestinian government”.
