Manchester United head coach Ruben Amorim has admitted he “doesn’t know” if Marcus Rashford will ever play for the club again.
Rashford has not played for United for over a month now Once again failed to make the matchday squad for Sunday’s FA Cup victory over ArsenalAlthough Amorim confirmed that he had overcome the illness that kept him out of the previous game against Liverpool.
Amorim has insisted the door has not been closed on Rashford, but after the win over Arsenal, he admitted he had no idea the 27-year-old still had a future at Old Trafford.
“I don’t know,” Amorim said. “We’ll see. He’s a player Manchester United. We will see. He has to work.
“He has to represent his club and he loves his club but I have to make a choice. I have already spoken about how I make a choice. It is what it is. Let’s continue, let’s look at the next game and As I said, I have to make a choice.”
Rashford is believed to be available for a transfer this month, but the huge cost of such a deal has seen his numerous suitors move in on loan. United are believed to be open to a temporary switch.
There is interest from the Premier League, where Tottenham Hotspur and West Ham United have been named as suitors, but the most significant interest comes from mainland Europe. AC Milan are among the leading candidates and club official Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Rashford’s former teammate at United, publicly discussed his side’s interest in the deal.
Rashford, however, is believed to be prioritizing moving on Barcelonawho were recently Instructed to make a deal Once they release the required salary.
