Samsung has made a thin version of the Galaxy S25. The Galaxy S25 Edge has been teased by the company’s end Unpacked eventand it appears significantly thinner than other phones launched by Samsung today.
There is very little to lose by teasing Samsung. Voiceover described the phone as “a culmination of our latest technology” and extolled the device’s apparent beauty. Scroll through Samsung’s livestream and you’ll see components like a vapor chamber, camera and metallic frame, but the least glimpse of the actual silhouette of the Galaxy S25 Edge. At Samsung’s live event in Korea, the new phone was actually shown off. You can watch it in the embed below.
Samsung did not share any additional details on when the Galaxy S25 Edge will appear at its event, but Bloomberg reports that the phone will be launched “in the US and other markets in the middle of the year.” The device will also “use some of the same technologies as the new Ultra model,” in a slimmer package. “Samsung has not yet decided on a price,” Bloomberg wrote, “but acknowledged that it’s cheaper than the $1,299-and-up Ultra.”
The company is not the only one trying to attract customers with thin in 2025. It is also reported that Apple introduced the iPhone 17 “Air” later this year.
