Zimbabwe all-rounder and T20I captain Sikandar Raza’s shocking comments about the Indian Premier League (IPL) have raised eyebrows among many. After being snubbed by all the teams in the recent IPL 2025 mega auction, Raza seems to have lost interest in the tournament.
Sikandar Raza’s tone has changed dramatically after he went unsold in the IPL 2025 mega auction, with the Zimbabwe all-rounder openly admitting that he prefers the Pakistan Super League (PSL). Kheraza said that the Pakistan Super League (PSL) is more entertaining and interesting than the Indian Premier League (IPL), which has attracted a lot of attention.

Meanwhile, Raza, who is all set to represent Lahore Qalandars in the upcoming PSL 2025, denied any disappointment over his snub in the IPL 2025 mega auction. The Zimbabwe captain said he is not disappointed about missing out on this year’s Indian Premier League; instead, he is more focused on working hard and trying his luck next time.

Raza explained: “Not at all. I have a very strong faith and belief. That’s the way it is, that’s the way it is. If you give your best, from a cricketing point of view, whether it’s on the international stage or the franchise stage “No matter what tournament you play, there is no choice. I go back; I put my name in the next draft and see what happens.”

Meanwhile, Sikandar Raza, who captains Dubai Capitals in the International League T20 (ILT20) 2025, aims to lead the way with both bat and ball. Dubai Capitals will next face MI Emirates in their second match of the ILT20 2025 on January 13 at the Sheikh Zayed Stadium.
