St Mirren 0 – 1 Dundee United


Substitute Louis Moult scored a stunning late overhead kick before Jack Walton saved St Mirren’s penalty as Dundee United Dundee United defeated Paisley 1-0.

Robinson made three changes in a bid to get back to winning ways in front of his supporters, with defender Alex Iakovetti, midfielder Roland Idowu and forward Mika Mandren returning .

Goodwin, who returned to his old club, made five adjustments, with Kevin Holt, Ross Docherty, Ryan Strain, Luka Stephenson and leading scorer Sam Darby returning.

The home side took much of the early pressure and it soon turned into a physical affair.

In the fourth minute, Scott Tanser took a corner kick and Stephenson easily cleared the header of his friend defender Richard Taylor.

Later, as United showed their threat, Holt’s powerful shot from distance was blocked by Paisley goalkeeper Zach Hemming.
