Tommy Tonks and his long throws are Tamworth’s not-so-secret weapon, with the 33-year-old veteran set to line up in the hosts’ midfield on Sunday.

Postecoglou will be wary of playing his big guns on artificial surfaces given Spurs’ current injury list, but the Australian’s hand will be somewhat forced in terms of team selection.
Eight first-team players are currently out through injury, with Fraser Forster struggling with illness. A second start could come for new goalkeeper Antonin Kinski after his impressive debut in midweek, while Pep Sar and James Maddison are both back in contention after picking up suspensions against Liverpool.
Rodrigo Bentanker is the latest Tottenham casualty – he will be sidelined for a few weeks under the concussion protocol.
Mickey Moore and South Korean Yang Min-Hyok could occupy the sides with Will Lancshear leading the line for the visitors. Sergio Regulone should also be considered at left-back.

Given the sloping artificial pitch and Tonks’ long throws there will no doubt be a few nerves heading into this fixture amongst the naturally pessimistic fans.

Overcoming EFL opposition is one thing, but an inexperienced Tottenham team is also a different kettle of fish for Tamworth. It will be a great occasion for the hosts, but Spurs should win at Canter.
