Former tennis star Pam Shriver revealed Saturday that her Grand Slam trophy and vehicle were stolen after she evacuated her home due to wildfires. A devastated Los Angeles.
Shriver told Fox 11 Los Angeles When the Palisades fire broke out nearly two weeks ago, she evacuated from Brentwood to a hotel in Marina Del Rey. She offers a grim look at how the city feels after all the chaos.

“Right now in Los Angeles, it’s hard to feel safe because of natural disasters, fires and crime,” she said. “I spent my first 38 years in Baltimore. Since then, I’ve spent 30 years here. I’m thinking about what’s the next neighborhood where I’ll feel safe.”
Shriver explained to KTLA on Friday that she was trying to get back to “normal life” when she discovered her Dodge Durango was missing.
She said the trophy happened to be in the back of the SUV.

“For those who do, come on, man,” she tell the station. “We have to come together. We have to do things like you see the way people are donating, you see the first responders, how they’re overcoming this. Let’s all feel that sense of community and help Alta Come on people of Deena and Pacific Palisades, let’s do the right thing.
“Now is not the time to give people more stress, more worry and more lack of confidence.”
Looting has been a major problem as firefighters work to contain the blaze. Authorities arrested at least a dozen people in connection with the case Robbery and arson.

“It’s despicable to attack people at their most vulnerable, and these criminals are among the worst,” Newsom said in a statement provided to Fox News Digital Thursday afternoon.

Newsom said “looting has never been legal here” and “it will not be tolerated” as the state continues to battle the famine that broke out on Jan. 7.
