Adama Traore
£18m from Middlesbrough in 2018
Following spells at Aston Villa and Middlesbrough after leaving Barcelona, Adama Traore found a home at Molineux in England.
Wolves paid Middlesbrough a fee in 2018 £18 million Signing the winger, he made 194 appearances for the club before joining Fulham on a free transfer in 2023.

Johnny Otto
Atletico Madrid £18m, 2019
Another player who makes Wolves pay £18 million Defender Jonny Otto originally joined Molineux on loan from Atletico Madrid in 2018.
Six months later, Otto moved to England permanently, with the Spaniard’s contract ultimately terminated in 2024 after a training ground altercation with a young player and members of the coaching staff.

Fluminense £18.5m, 2024
Wolves have won the race to sign Brazilian midfielder Andre from Fluminense in 2024 for what is believed to be an initial fee £18.5 million.
A move to Fulham fell through before Andre signed for Wolves, with the player signing a five-year contract at Molineux. As with other transfers, the fee may be increased for additional services.

Nathan Collins
Burnley £20.5m, 2022
After Burnley were relegated to the Championship in 2022, Wolves moved quickly to acquire defender Nathan Collins at a transfer price. Over £20 million.
Collins’ time at Molineux was short-lived, however, with the Irishman sold to Brentford for at least a small profit 12 months after signing.

Goncalo Guedes
Valencia £27.5m, 2022
After completing his studies at Benfica, Goncalo Guedes played for Paris Saint-Germain and Valencia before joining Wolves. £27.5 million Agreement reached in 2022.
But as one of a host of Portuguese stars to arrive under the influence of super-agent Jorge Mendes, the versatile forward struggled to make an impact in the central region and six months later he was loaned back to Benfica. Guedes’ contract with Wolves runs until 2027.

Nelson Semedo

Right-back Nelson Semedo has been a regular for Wolves since joining from Barcelona. £28 million Transfers in 2020.
The Portugal international was also appointed club captain in December 2024, succeeding Mario Lemina. However, the defender’s contract expires in 2025, so a deal would need to be struck in the near future to extend his stay.

Benfica £30m, 2019
Raul Jimenez was a key signing for Wolves following promotion to the Premier League in 2018, making his loan move from Benfica permanent £30 million Just 12 months later.
The Mexico international scored 57 goals in 166 appearances for the club before joining Fulham. £5.5 million Agreement reached in 2023.

FC Porto £35.6m in 2020
The biggest signing yet to be planned by Wolves is the transfer of striker Fabio Silva, whose arrival broke a then-club record £35.6 million Pay as young as 18.
However, Silva’s time at Molineux did not go as planned, with the striker having only played for the club since loan spells at Anderlecht, PSV Eindhoven, Rangers and Las Palmas. The King team scored a few goals.

Sporting CP to allocate £38m in 2022
Wolves have finally signed Matheus Nunez after starring for Sporting Lisbon under Ruben Amorim and catching the eye of Pep Guardiola £38 million 2022.
The midfielder lasted just one season at Molineux as a result of his stellar performances in the Premier League, with Guardiola and Manchester City bringing him to the Etihad for a fee in excess of £50m.

Atletico Madrid £44m, 2023
Matheus Cunha is currently Wolves’ most expensive signing in history, with the Brazilian striker costing £44 million From Atletico Madrid.
He initially joined Molineux on loan in January 2023, with a permanent deal activated in the summer of that year. Since then, Cunha has started to star at struggling Wolves and has been linked with some big clubs as a result.
