Bayern Munich are set to hand legendary goalkeeper Manuel Neuer a new one-year contract that will extend his stay with the club to a 15th season.
Injuries have put a ceiling on Neuer’s availability over the past eight years, missing the end of 2024 with a broken rib, but the 38-year-old is expected to return soon.

Neuer, the most recent goalkeeper to break into the top three Ballon d’OrPioneered the modern role of the sweeper-keeper with a willingness to rush off his line and involve himself in games in a way that most goalkeepers did not before. He is also regarded as the perfect example of a goalkeeper, skilled in a wide range of attributes.
