The Palestinian Statistics Agency’s new report says more than 39,000 children have lost one or two parents in Gaza.

According to the statement, at least 17,954 children were killed in the attacks in Gaza, including 274 newborn babies and 876 babies under one year of age.

It added: “In the tents that shelter displaced people, 17 children also freeze to death, and another 52 died of hunger and systemic malnutrition.”

The agency warns that 60,000 children are at risk of dying due to severe malnutrition and imminent famine.
