The UN Security Council demands M23 to stop the offensive Congo’s East Congo

New York (Reuters) – The United Nations Security MBBBMlength statement.

The Council urged Rwanda and the DRC to return to the discussions to achieve peace and responding to the presence of Rwanda Defense Forces in eastern congo and CongoLese support for the liberation of Rwanda ( Fdlr).

The M23 promised to protect Tutsi’s interests, especially against ethnic militia such as FDLR, built by Hutus leaving Rwanda after joining the 1994 genocide and moderate tutors.

At the Council meeting on Sunday, the United States, France and Britain condemned Rwanda’s support to invade the rebel M23. Kigali has long denied supporting M23.

In its statement, the Security Council “condemns the continuing revelation of the Sovereign and territorial integrity of the DRC, including unauthorized eastern DRC presence in external forces”.

It does not clearly name the forces outside but are asked to “retreat immediately.”

Acting US Ambassador to the UN Dorothy Shea specifically calls Rwanda due to using GPS Jamming and Spoofing, also shown in the Council’s statement.

“Members of the Security Council also concerns continuous GPS jamming events and spoofing activities in support of M23 operations in North Kivu, which represents the imminent risk of civil aviation and negative risks Effect of humanitarian assistance to populations in need, “says the Security Council.
