Arsenal suffered a potentially crucial blow to his dizzy hopes in the Premier League title race as he was a 1-1 draw at Everton.

Gunners hoped to reduce Liverpool’s lead by nine points to the top with a victory over Gudison Park’s final journey.

When Leandro Trosard put them fired in the 34th lead, Mikel Arteta’s men looked at the way of achieving that feat.

However, the 49th minute penalty of Iliman ADI proved to be enough to get the Everton part of the robbery, leaving Arsenal 11 -point Liverpool, which could extend the distance with a victory at Fulham on Sunday.

Martin Odegard should do better with the chance of the nearest range, and Gabriel Martinelli pushed the Pickford at the second diving stop as Arsenal was forced to the late winner.

Mikel Marino then widened the header, and it proved to be the ultimate opportunity for the gunners as they failed to keep pressure on the liverpool, which could be firmly considered as a champion-soaked on the craven cottage.

Arsenal will take a strong finish in the game with Real Madrid at least Tuesday’s Champions League quarter-final first leg, but the draw is another result of a season in which Liverpool has lost many opportunities to challenge seriously.
