“It is not easy to write about this, but as football players, we all know that this day is finally coming. That day is here – and you are worth hearing from me first.

“We like it, it’s time to say goodbye. Suri, Rome, Mason, Mitchell and I am grateful to what this place means to our family.” Manchester “will always be on our children’s passports – and even more importantly, in every heart of us.
“This will always be our home.
“We cannot thank the city, club, staff, colleagues, friends and family for this 10 year ride.
“Every story ends, but this is definitely the best chapter.
“Let’s enjoy these last moments together!
“Very love, KDB.”
De Brune’s announcement found that the city was caught with a story on his social media channels and it has been reported that the defending premiere league champions did not start a conversation with former Chelsea and Wonder Bremen Man on the new deal.
Separate reports claimed this morning that De Brune, who turned 34 in June, would be open to joining the Niyome SC, who played in the Saudi Arabian Second Division for next season.
It has also been linked to clubs in Major League soccer.
