Tom Cruise

Tom Cruise pays tribute to his top gun star Val Kilmer, who died earlier this week at the age of 65.

Cruise appears at Cinemacon, Las Vegas, leading the crowd at the Colosseum Theatre in a quiet moment in order to “remember one of my dear friends Val Kilmer.”

When Cruise joined Top Gun in 1986, I couldn’t tell you how much I appreciated his work, how much I thought about his work as a person, how grateful and honored when he joined Top Gun. ”

The 2022 sequel, Top Gun: Mavericks, marks Kilmer’s last movie role. Kilmer, also known for playing Batman and Jim Morrison, died Tuesday night in Los Angeles.

In Las Vegas, Cruise bowed at the sponge-like theater, which was packed with cinema owners and others working in the industry.

“Thanks Val- I wish you the next journey and all the best,” Cruise said afterward.

Cruise speaks in Cinemacon’s Paramount Picture Demo. He also showed off a voyeuristic trailer for Mission: Impass – the last estimate to be released later this year and respects the film’s director Christopher McQuarrie, who is known as Cinemacon Director of the Year.

The trailer shows Cruise is known for his own stunts in a series of dynamic scenes – on fighters, explosions and wings on wings walking on old-fashioned aircraft.

As Hollywood pays tribute to Kilmer, Cruise has been one of the few stars waiting to publicly comment on the actor’s death.

The star has always spoken out about his love of working with Kilmer. He performed live at Jimmy Kimmel! He cried and asked him to prepare a gun: Maverick.

“I’m crying, I’m crying. I’m so excited,” Cruise said during the show. “He’s a great actor. I love his job.”

Kilmer’s family told the American media that he died after he died of pneumonia. The actor has two tracheal groups when he is treated for laryngeal cancer.

These programs force him to speak using a voice box, and in the 2022 movie, he typed on the screen to communicate with Cruise’s character. At the end of their scene, Kilmer’s Iceman stands up from his chair and roughly tells Cruise: “The Navy needs a Maverick.”

The two hugged, then the Iceman laughed at it funny, asking Cruise about who was the better pilot.
