president donald trump He arrived at the Commander-in-Chief’s Ball shortly after 10 p.m. ET on Monday night and shared his first dance with First Lady Melania Trump, the first of three balls he attended that night. A dance.
Trump was introduced by the host at the Walter Washington Convention Center in Mount Vernon Plaza, Washington, shortly after the band finished playing “The Americans We.”

In his first dance, Trump and first lady Melania Trump danced to a modern rendition of Julia Ward Howe’s 1861 Civil War song “The Battle Hymn of the Republic” .
The song was the clarion call of the Union Army of the Potomac – as opposed to the Confederate Army’s “Dixie.”

In a brief speech, Trump told the crowd that the election was a “huge victory” and that a big reason for his victory was “my relationship with you (the American people).”
At a military-themed ball, he praised top Pentagon nominee Pete Hegseth.
Trump also spoke at two other balls later that night, another at the Washington Convention Center and the last at Union Station.
The free ball is sandwiched between the Commander-in-Chief ball and the Starlight ball.
Although the Commander-in-Chief’s ball is heading towards service members, The Freedom Ball will include a wide range of Trump supporters. Trump’s speech is the main theme of the event, but similar to the Commander-in-Chief’s Ball, it will also include some musical performances. The performances will include country singer Jason Aldean, rapper Nelly and Village People.
At the Freedom Ball, also held at the convention center, Trump and Mrs. Trump had another first dance.
Later, several members of the Trump family, as well as Vice President J.D. Vance and second lady Usha Vance, took the stage. They danced to “Unchained Melody” by the Righteous Brothers.
Trump told the Freedom Ball audience that it was a “hell of a day.”
The ball was preceded by a day of events that included President Trump’s official swearing-in ceremony, inaugural parade Capital One Stadium, Oval Office signing ceremonies and more.
During the day’s events, Trump signed a series of agreements executive order Related to Border Security, Diversity, Equity and Inclusion, January 6, Energy and Climate, and the Federal Workforce.
