Trump revokes security clearances of 51 national security officials


president Donald Trump Withdrew the security clearances of more than 50 national security officials who said Hunter Biden’s laptop had “all the classic hallmarks of a Russian information operation.”

There are total 51 former national security officials An open letter was released in 2020 claiming that although the laptop did not contain “any evidence of Russian involvement,” it looked like a “Russian information operation.”

The letter comes months after the New York Post reported they had received emails showing Hunter Biden coordinated a meeting between Joe Biden and an executive at Ukrainian energy company Burisma to pressure Ukrainian officials to It ousted a prosecutor investigating the company.

The list includes former Director of National Intelligence James Clapper, former CIA Directors Michael Hayden, John Brennan, former Defense Secretary Leon Panetta and former National Security Advisor John Bolton.

Fox Digital News previously reported that federal investigators at the Justice Department knew Hunter Biden’s laptop was not manipulated and contained “credible evidence.”

Republican lawmakers, including South Carolina Sen. Lindsey Graham, have previously recommended revoking the officers’ security clearances.

The order is one of more than 200 executive orders approved by Trump inauguration dayjoining directives such as the U.S. withdrawal from the Paris Climate Agreement, which the U.S. originally signed in 2015 under the administration of former President Barack Obama.

Trump previously withdrew the United States from the agreement during his first term in 2020.

Other executive orders signed by Trump on Day 1 include rescinding nearly 80 executive orders and memos issued under Biden, imposing regulatory and hiring freezes on the federal government, preventing “government censorship” of free speech, and directing everyone to Departments and agencies address cost issues in life crises.
