Varney: California really needs Trump


During his “My Take” on Monday, “Varney & Co.“Host Stuart Varney discussed the failure of Newsom’s California model of government and how his policies are affecting emergency fire response.

It’s hard to imagine a worse time. It is now obvious that the state badly needs Trump. In a week he will be sitting in the Oval Office. He will hold the purse strings. It’s already tagged California politicians like “incompetent”. He has been told Governor Newsome should resign. And Senator Barrasso says there will be strings attached to the money the federal government will hand out. well

This is an opportunity to reject what you might call “the California model of government.” It doesn’t work, and Trump has the leverage to force change.

It has already started: Newsom has suspended the environmental review process for the reconstruction of damaged homes and businesses. This is a blow to their green dreams.

What about California as a sanctuary state? Will they continue to encourage illegal border crossings? Will they continue to protect illegal criminals from deportation? Trump will not be pleased to see the state legislature spend $25 million opposing Trump’s policies.

But Newsom shows no sign of respect for the president-elect. he says Trump “politicized” the disaster. But the event was driven, in part, by bad policies. An unfavorable business environment. Ev mandates There is a lot to do, and Trump will go there!

Bottom line: Politics will change in California. It has to be done.

Trump will not supply the money if there are no changes.

Look on the bright side: California’s debacle may help other states launch ruinous policies. It will be a tough negotiation. But California’s failure gives Trump an advantage…
