The injury to the star batting innings became a major topic after Royal Challenger Bangalore (RCB) lost Royal Challenger Bangalore (RCB) for the first time after Royal Challenger Bangalore (RCB) suffered its first defeat against Gujarat Titans (GT) in the 2025 season. RCB head coach Andy Flower provides the latest news about Kohli’s finger injury, who suffered injuries in recent games.
The Bangalore-based franchise suffered eight points against the Gujarat Giants on Wednesday, April 2 at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium. Virat Kohli only scored seven runs in six balls, so his game is unforgettable. He was fired by Arshad Khan after being caught on a deep landing on a square leg.
Virat Kohli gets injured while trying to block the border
Virat Kohli was injured while trying to block the border during a Gujarat Titans chase. The incident took place on the fifth goal of the twelfth goal when Sai Sudharsan swept in the delivery of Krunal Pandya. Kohli, located in Deep Midwicket, misjudged the ball.
The ball slid across his hand to the boundary. The former Indian captain was obviously in pain, prompting the team to come out and evaluate him. It is worth noting that the 36-year-old continued to play after receiving treatment, but his discomfort has caused concern among RCB fans.

Virat Kohli looks good – Andy Flower
Andy Flower assured fans of Virat Kohli’s fitness after a finger injury to Gujarat Titans. Flower said at a post-match press conference that there were no concerns about Kohli’s fitness.
“Virat (Kohli) looks good, he’s good, don’t worry,” Flower said in a post-match press conference.
RCB struggled early in their innings when Phil Salt (14), Devdutt Padikkal (4) and Rajat Patidar (12) fell to 42/4 in 6.2 matches. Jitesh Sharma (33) and Liam Livingstone (54) stabilized the inning with a crucial 52-shot stand, while Tim David quickly scored 18 goals with a 32-shot run.
However, Mohammed Siraj removed the RCB’s batting lineup with a 3/19 number in four bases. In response, the Gujarat Titans chased the goal with a 17.5-point advantage. Sai Sudharsan (49) and Jos Buttler (39 unbeaten) helped the team win eight goals. This is the first time RCB has failed this season.
