It’s all full of everything: the glory of homeland, the roar of heavyweights and two big men who are not confused. Fabio Wardley finally landed in the homeland battle that he had been exploding since the sun point – he wasn’t just going home to find cuppa. He is dragging Jarrell “Big Baby” Miller to Ipswich for the right tear, and the temporary WBA world heavyweight strap is lined up.
Wardley: Tractor Boy Turns into Wrecking Ball
Fabio remained unbeaten at the age of 19, with 17 knockout rounds – his hands weren’t totally shy. Last time he straightened Frazer Clarke in one round like a bar fight Annual battle. He has cleaned up a nice domestic scene – Gorman, Adeleye, you name it – collecting sticker-like belts along the way.
Now, his No. 1 WBA, sniffed out in the world title like a dog after Bacon. This Portman Road night? This is personal. His words:
“I’m not only going to wave to the crowd. I’m here to fight. Trust me, I’ll go deep if I need to – blood, sweat, anyway. It’s everything for me.”
Big baby’s back – still loud as always
Jarrell Miller may be 36, but he still has a jaw made of bricks and big guys’ mouth, and there are ten Red Bulls before breakfast. Last year, he bullied Lucas Browne, made a nice objection to Dubois until his legs went, and then almost made a decision against Andy Ruiz – despite the judge bottling it and calling it a draw.
Spencer Brown supported Miller like a dad in Sunday League, saying:
“We wouldn’t have gotten on the plane if I didn’t think he beat Fabio. Wardley was fine, but he was about to find out what he was chewing beyond your swallowing.”
Portman Road becomes a war zone
It’s not just a ritual night. This is Ipswich’s answer to Glastonbury – but it’s not a guitar, it’s gloves and gums. Frank Warren finally made this crazy idea come true, and he said the best:
“Fabio has been in this Portman road battle since we first signed him. He had what he wanted, but now he had to deliver – Miller’s size is fist’s fridge.”
Ipswich Town Chairman Mark Ashton is also buzzing:
“We’ve been talking about it for four years. It’s finally happening. Fabio is one of our own, and it’s the kind of night that will collapse in club history…if he wins.”
Scrap: June 7 – Dazn
The show is called Going to AdversityIt’s a polite way: “Yes, it’ll be rough.” Dazn will play live and exclusive lots, which they think might be Wardley’s breakthrough moment. Michael Ridout from Dazn sums it up very well:
“Fabio kept on fire, Miller never shut up – it was the perfect TV.”
On April 7, tickets for season ticket holders in Ipswich Town fell.
