
Washington Post columnist Eugene Robinson announced that he left the newspaper 20 years later in protesting the editorial decision made by his billionaire owner. Jeff Bezos.

Eugene’s strong views and impeccable integrity have often shaped our public remarks, cementing his legacy as a leading voice in American journalism.”
Robinson confirmed to Fox News that he retired only from posts, not from the press, but has not made any commitment to his next chapter.
Robinson, also an MSNBC analyst, joined the position in 2005 and received a Pulitzer Prize review in 2009.
Bezos made headlines when announcing that his paper would “write every day to support and defend two pillars: personal freedom and free market” and “opinions against these pillars will be published by others.” This led to a strike by David Shipley, the post’s opinion editor who opposed Bezos’s new mission.
