Tom Curran strikes early: David Warner chases duck
Earlier in the match, Melbourne Stars bowler Curran scored in the first over for the Thunder. The Stars are off to an ideal start David WarnerOne of the biggest threats on the Thunder roster was sacked for a duck. Warner, known for his aggression, was caught by the skipper Marcus Stonis After trying to intercept Curran’s shot.
The ball seemed to rest on Warner, leaving him unable to control the shot, which fell directly to Stoinis at cover. Warner’s early wicket sent shockwaves through the Thunder camp and the Stars were ecstatic to get rid of such a dangerous player so quickly. Letting Curran bowl first was an inspired decision by the Stars management and the move paid immediate dividends.

Curran strikes again
Curran returned to bowl in the 18th over as Thunder tried to regain form, this time striking out again to dismiss it oliver davis 36 (35 balls). Davis played a key role in keeping the game alive for Thunder with two boundaries and a six, but his departure came at a crucial time.
Curran bowled a clever back-hand off-speed ball that dropped full length and completely deceived Davis. Davis didn’t realize the pass was slowing down and he tried a high kick, but his timing was wrong and he sent the ball straight into the long distance.
