Ishant Sharma is known for his intense and weird celebrations and the story is no different when his Gujarat Titans team locked in the horns with Royal Challenger Bengaluru, an IPL 2025 match held on Wednesday, April 2 at M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Ruhr, Bengal.
Royal Challenger Bangalore Captain Rajat Patidar was trapped in front and the referee raised his finger without hesitation. Ishant Sharma roared during the celebrations, Patidar was shocked in the duel at the RCB in Bengaluru and Gujarat Titans.
This is a fuller delivery than the good length around the mid-leg. Patidar tried to play online but missed it completely and was hit in the hind leg. The referee immediately raised his finger and Ishant burst into celebration as GT gained the upper hand in the game against RCB.

After picking up Paddal’s wicket, Isant was pulled up while looking at the sky, as if thanking God for his grace. When Captain RCB returned to the locker room, Ishant’s shoulder seemed to be leaning against Patidar’s.
However, no player reacted to contact, but Ishant might have given him some exciting treatment. Ishant entered the GT pacemaker’s lip movement and celebrated the key wicket to Patidar at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bangalore before joining his teammates.

ISHANT SHARMA script history in IPL and Rarcb Double’s IPL
Meanwhile, Ishant Sharma wrote script history after firing Patidar. The experienced Pacers reached an interest rate milestone for rejecting two captains of the same team in IPL history. Back in 2008, during the IPL season, the tall and thin pacemaker fired then-RCB captain Rahul Dravid in the first game of his spell.
At that time, Ishant played for Delhi’s Daredevils (now the capital of Delhi) in the IPL. Fast forward to 2025, and Ishant repeated history, claiming that the current RCB captain Patidar’s wicket became the first and only player to dismiss the same franchise captain in the game history.

GT wins RCB with 8 goals, extending the perfect chase record
It is worth noting that Gujarat Titans comfortably chased 170 runs and backed up with 13 balls to put Royal Challenger Bengaluru out eight goals at home in Bengaluru.
The victory marked the second biggest win for GT while chasing them over the remaining wickets after 9 goals in 2023 with Rajasthan Royals in Jaipur, where 37 goals remain.
Interestingly, all six games between GT and RCB were won by the chaser, with both teams winning three. Well, RCB will next face the Mumbai Indians on April 7, while GT will be in contact with Sunrisers Hyderabad in the next match of IPL 2025 on April 6.
