Khawaja reveals his retirement plans before leaving for Sri Lanka

I try not to think too far ahead, that’s as far ahead as I can think. As long as we’re winning and I’m still contributing and my body is still feeling good and I’m playing, it feels more like a summer for me every time.” Khwaja addressed rumors of his retirement from the longest format of the game.
Additionally, he noted that downs are a big part of the game and he’s used to being disappointed at times when the bat isn’t up to par.
“(Playing in the subcontinent) is a love-hate relationship. (But) sometimes you score, sometimes you don’t. As you get older, you respect that. There are always ebbs and flows in cricket. Ebb and flow. I’m very comfortable with it now.” the 38-year-old concluded.
