Even though Sanju Samson averaged nearly 57 in his last ODI, his 3 100s have fallen off the CT in his last 5 T20i games and Pant has been failing and this is just another good example , explains how good PR can save you without performance.

Samson was in superb form, while Pant’s performance was inconsistent. Samson’s exclusion was particularly controversial given his stellar performances in white-ball cricket prior to his selection.
Sanju Samson doesn’t have the strong PR and Mumbai Hall support that Rishabh Pant has without any performance in the ODI team.
