GT chooses to play against SRH in IPL 2025
GT captain Shubman Gill chose to play against SRH in Sunday’s IPL 2025 match. Jill (via Cricbuzz) said his decision was justified:
“We’re going to play the bowl first. It looks like a slow wicket, unlike the first two games because it’s a black soil surface. Usually, it’s a good wicket. We’ve been playing well and need to adapt to the conditions as soon as possible.”
The Ahmedabad-based franchise made a lonely change as Washington Santa replaced Arshad Khan in XI.
After two consecutive defeats of Mumbai Indians (MI) and Royal Challenger Bangalore (RCB), a side led by Shubman Gill entered the match. They will be eager to continue the momentum of winning.
SRH, on the other hand, lost three games against Lucknow Super Giants (LSG), Delhi Capitals (DC) and Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR). Their only win this season was against the Rajasthan Royals (RR) in the opening clash. The hosts hope to return to the victory against Gujarat to revive their 2025 season.
