Those who want more of the night he comes will be happy to know that the film’s digital release (today) has a running time cut. Thomas Hutter (Nicholas Hoult) in Nosferatu’s castle experiencing the hypnotic delirium of Orlok is an all-timer action one in a film, and we’ll take any extra thick fog ambiance we can get. There’s a better more cinematically beautiful intense longing and thirst for more glimpses of Orlok’s gloriously decayed visage and that irresistible facial hair. Or as Von France (Willem Dafoe) says, we want to see things that would make “Isaac Newton crawl back into his mother’s womb!”
