After ‘Qatargate’, ‘Huawegate’ Scandal Rocks EU: What happened to corruption reforms?




That was not to be repeated. Two years ago, after a scandal with the Favorite of money known as “Qatargate” swinging the European Parliament and sent shock waves through the EU, reforms were introduced to improve transparency. But now, freshly charged charges have hit the EU legislation – allegedly in favor of Chinese technological giant Huawei, according to the Belgian Prosecutor’s Office.
