The bit about people ignoring The Flash is…well, the CW’s long-running show (which wrapped week before the movie hit) partially put that to bed. What Muschietti probably means is that audiences don’t care about the DCEU version, which is also a problem with the movies. Miller got Barry Allen cool action bitsbut nothing really made people care about him like they did (and still do) other collections of characters in the universe, or would-be heroes like Green Lantern.

The Flash’s cinematic future is now up in the air, as is any DC character that isn’t Superman or by Muschietti Brave and Bold. But if and when speed returns, maybe create a version of him that people like that aren’t just largely cribbed from Tom Holland’s Spider-Man?
