BCCI also wants to return to fitness methods, yo-yo test is ready to be reintroduced
Apart from this, the governing body also wants to return to the fitness approach that was started under Virat Kohli. The board wants players to focus on fitness criteria when selecting players rather than just focusing on preventing injuries due to a busy schedule. The Yo-Yo test is coming back soon.

Indian national cricket team performs well in ODIs and Tests under the leadership of Gautam Gambhir and Rohit Sharma
The Indian national cricket team has been on a roll over the past few months. They subsequently lost the ODI series to Sri Lanka for the first time in 27 years, suffered a 0-3 defeat at home to New Zealand and failed to win the 2024-25 Border-Gavaskar Trophy.
The Indian national cricket team lost the 2024-25 Border-Gavaskar Trophy with a score of 3-1 and were eliminated in the final of the ICC World Test Championship. This left them facing a lot of criticism for their poor performance under the massive sweep of Gautam Gambhir and captain Rohit Sharma.
The fate of the head coach and captain will be decided after the 2025 ICC Champions Trophy. The tournament will be held from February 19 to March 9 and will see the Indian national cricket team play in the United Arab Emirates.
