Blue Origin’s New Glenn rocket launches into orbit on its first flight


Blue Origin’s New Glenn rocket successfully reached space for its first flight, days after a planned January 13 launch was scrubbed. The vehicle passed the Kármán line, the internationally recognized boundary of space, shortly after 2AM Eastern time on January 16. The new Glenn’s booster separated from the rest of the rocket to return to Earth to the landing platform in ocean at 2:10 AM, while its second stage and payload continue to reach orbit. The company has only Office has partnered on his live feed, however, with the booster missing.
